Pole Relocations

Aftermath Engineering Services can relocate poles to clear proposed driveways for residential, commercial, or industrial sites — ensuring full compliance with NSW supply authority clearance rules.

High Voltage Overhead Network Extensions or New Line Routes

Rural customers may need overhead high-voltage powerlines to supply new pole substations. Aftermath Engineering Services can extend these lines cost-effectively to deliver power on site.

Low Voltage Overhead Extensions and or Upgrades

Aftermath Engineering Services can extend or upgrade low-voltage overhead wires to aerial bundled cables — whether for extra load, DA conditions, aesthetics, or better clearance for scaffolding and crane work

Pole Substation Designs

Customers in rural areas with nearby high-voltage networks may be able to install a new pole substation for additional load. Aftermath Engineering Services can also modify an existing pole to add a new substation without full replacement.

Simple Outdoor Substations

Customers with loads over 400 amps will likely need an outdoor substation. Aftermath Engineering Services delivers straightforward outdoor substations across all NSW supply areas, including greenfield residential subdivisions.

Complex Outdoor Substations

If needed, outdoor substations can be elevated to avoid flood levels or placed below footpath level for better aesthetics. Aftermath Engineering Services can design and certify these solutions.

Indoor Substations

When space is limited, apartment developers may need an indoor substation instead of an outdoor one. Aftermath Engineering Services can design indoor substations to suit tight site conditions.

High Voltage Customers and Private Customer Substations

For large industrial loads, standard substations may not be cost-effective. Aftermath Engineering Services can deliver Level 3 design works for a private high-voltage connection and substation, fully compliant with all network standards, metering requirements, and Australian Standards.

Streetlighting

Aftermath Engineering Services designs new streetlighting systems to AS1158 standards for subdivisions, roads, and carparks — including PR category requirements, disability spaces, and V category lighting for main roads, intersections, and roundabouts. We provide both luminance and illuminance designs as needed.

Obtrusive Lighting Studies to AS4282 (Non-Level 3 ASP Works)

For carpark lighting or illuminated signs on private property, local councils often require proof that vertical illuminance on nearby windows, glare, upward light spill, and driver threshold increments meet AS4282 standards. Aftermath Engineering Services uses specialized obtrusive lighting design software to provide compliant designs and detailed reports.

Specialist Projects/Reports

Aftermath Engineering offers a range of specialized services including Low Frequency Induction Reports for new high-voltage underground powerlines near steel gas mains, approved by Jemena; Electrolysis Reports for new building foundations located close to existing electric railway systems; and Optical Arc Flash Detection System retrofits for existing indoor substations, specifically for Ausgrid.
